Carmela has been part of the hospitality industry for over 30 years. She began her career “from the bottom” as a busgirl cleaning up dishes and serving clientele while working her way through college. After graduation, she joined the accounting division of a large construction company until she left the full-time workforce to look after her young son.
After her son started school, she decided to take on some part-time work as a cocktail waitress where, fate would have it, she meet Peter Semetis, who changed her career direction entirely. Having joined his team at the Old Timers Cage, rather than return to accounting, she remained with him throughout many ventures until he opened Sale and Pepe.
Carmela is, without doubt, an experienced sales representative driven by her passion to “entertain people with food”. She takes pride in providing the best food service possible. Her goal is to treat her clients with respect while providing the best menu and presentation for her client’s needs.
During the past months, we have had the pleasure of catering for many of our front line heroes, from the hospitals, to 911 dispatchers to the National Guard. We say " Thank you to all of them!".
Now that NYC is re-opening, we can't wait to cater for you. Meals are either packaged in our Sale & Pepe Red reusable insulated bags or white disposable bags, with everything in individual containers as well as individually packaged cutlery, and sanitary wipes sent with every meal.
We have always required our staff to wear gloves and hats, but now masks are worn and temperatures are taken and surfaces are sanitized throughout the day.
